Greeley Garden Tour
The 2014 Greeley Garden Tour was a success! This was in part to our wonderful gardeners, awesome committee members, super volunteers and those great people that visited the gardens on Saturday, June 28.
There was one plant on this year’s tour that received many questions. Visitors were curious about the Giant Knapweed (Centaurea macrocephala) in the Ringle’s front yard. This perennial has stiff flower stems that bloom all summer long. It is easy to cut and use in dry flower arrangements. The Giant Knapweed grows in moist soil in sun or partial shade.
See you for next year's tour in June of 2015. In the meantime, you can learn more about the 2014 gardens or follow us on Pinterest as we share tour photos and other gardening inspirations. You can also learn how you can sponsor the 2015 tour or donate to the Greeley Garden Tour nursing scholarship program.
